The veteran broadcaster has been sharing updates with fans on social media, informing them about her recovery process and return to ABC.

Once known as Lara Christine Von Seelen, Spencer is an American television host recognized as a co-host of GMA and contributor to Nightline and ABC News. Between 2004 and 2011, she hosted The Insider, which was a syndicated entertainment news magazine in addition to being a frequent guest on CBS’s The Early Show.

The much-loved weatherman updated his fans on his grueling training schedule in Los Angeles on Instagram, and nobody was more supportive than Lara. After Sam revealed he was up at 2.45 a.m. and preparing for rehearsals, the mom-of-two commented on his feed.

Her plans to visit Sam were unclear, but she seemed eager to get there. This summer, Lara has been extremely busy, taking European vacations and working hard. Since this is her last year before Katharine leaves home, Lara’s year will be bittersweet.

Surgery Update of Lara Spencer

In the days that followed, Lara posted photos of herself at physical therapy, working out with an exercise ball and stretching her legs and abs.

In terms of getting around at work, Lara has relied on her scooter to get from one location to another. She’s been keeping her foot elevated in between takes on GMA.

During a commercial break on the show, the news correspondent almost fell out of her chair, but she assured viewers she was fine.

Despite some difficulties following the surgery, Lara has maintained a positive attitude during GMA broadcasts.

In pictures posted on Instagram, she even gave fans a glimpse of what happens between takes on the show.

On Tuesday, January 17, the New York native revealed in a playful Instagram Story that her scooter had been decked out with glitter and tassels for a fun makeover.

The Flea Market Flip host had the best support network by her side while recovering from surgery.

On January 14, she displayed a thoughtful gesture made by her husband, Rick McVey, after he went out to get her breakfast.

On the bag in which she received her food, a “very cute” scooter was drawn. Lara has two children, Duff and Katharine, with her ex-husband, David Haffenreffer.

Early Life of Lara Spencer

Spencer grew up in Garden City, Long Island, New York, the daughter of Richard Ernest and Carolyn von Seelen. In 1987, she graduated from Garden City High School.

She was a nationally ranked competitive diver who attended Penn State University on an athletic scholarship for springboard and platform diving.

In 1991, her senior year, she was named an All-American Athlete and graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism.

Following college, Spencer joined the N.B.C. page program, where she volunteered to work alongside other reporters to gain experience.

She went on to work for CBS affiliate WDEF-TV in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she “was a one-man band” as a reporter, producer, editor, photographer, and news van driver.
