BREAKING: In Half Moon Bay, California, four people were shot and died. No suspect is been held in custody. This would be California’s fourth large-scale shooting this month. #caleg A shooting incident involving numerous victims is being investigated by the sheriff’s office near HWY 92 and the HMB City Limits. The town was founded as San Benito in the 1840s as an agricultural branch of the San Francisco de Ass Mission and was later renamed Spanish Town as the Anglo fishing community grew. Half Moon Bay became the new name in 1874. The city kept expanding when rail and road links were constructed in the early 1900s. Coastal fog during Prohibition made the city a favorite place to go out and drink.
